In 2025, one of my primary goals is to earn the Practical Junior Penetration Tester (PJPT) certification from TCM Security. This certification focuses on practical penetration testing skills, and I see it as an important step toward strengthening my technical abilities and demonstrating my capability in real-world offensive security scenarios. By preparing for the PJPT, I will gain valuable hands-on experience in areas such as vulnerability identification, exploitation, and post-exploitation in Active Directory which will provide me with a strong foundation to tackle more advanced certifications and professional challenges.
Alongside the PJPT, I also plan to pursue the Blue Team Level 1 (BTL1) certification from Security Blue Team. This certification emphasizes blue team and defensive security skills, giving me a balanced perspective on both offensive and defensive practices. Achieving this credential will help me develop a deeper understanding of incident detection, response, and mitigation, making me more versatile as an aspiring cybersecurity professional. Together, the PJPT and BTL1 will allow me to build a strong skill set across multiple areas of cybersecurity, preparing me for a variety of entry-level roles.
Ultimately, my biggest goal for 2025 is to land my first job in the cybersecurity field. With the combination of certifications, self-study, and practical labs, I am determined to showcase my knowledge, problem-solving skills, and passion for the field to potential employers. In addition, I am working on growing my YouTube channel and aim to reach 100 subscribers by the end of the year. Sharing content online not only allows me to document my journey but also helps me connect with others who are passionate about cybersecurity. Achieving these goals will mark the big milestones in my professional journey, while also allowing me to build a supportive community along the way.
